We began experimenting with clear resin in 1999, inspired by an antique magnifying lens playing with light and reflections, which set us on a path to produce our first prototype of a Lens Table in 2004.

McCollin Bryan’s philosophy is to create functional furniture & objects with subtle and intriguing dimensions. Key is the process of experimentation and development of visual concepts.
A series of experiments with resins & forms resulted in the Abyssus in 2008, a table with a sculptural presence, rich in its surface & clean in its form.
The Abyssus tables comprise a highly polished resin surface which conceals a gilt core. The darkened resin creates a curious veil over the opulent centre, drawing the eye to the sinuous textures within that provide a sharp contrast to the Abyssus’ geometric form.
Oval or round coffee table with high polished surface over a textured gilded core.

Care:
The resin should be cleaned with a multi-surface, wax-free polish and a soft, clean cloth.
Fine scratches may occur with use but will be reduced with regular polishing.
Please avoid placing hot items on the surface. This may cause damage to the resin.
Chrome legs to be polished with a silver / metal polish.

This version is the pure resin with no added pigment, however there is a ‘tolerance of tones’ set by the raw material manufacturers. Batches can vary slightly (some bluish or pinkish). We always supply each multiple piece order with the same resin batch number.

The multi-tonal effects created by the rich hues in the Lunar table top suggest it is lit from within. The depth of colour gives the impression of looking upon something precious and otherworldly.
The Lunar table is hand cast in our London studio. The colour and reflective qualities are intensified by the gilded internal dome. The legs can be ordered in black or patinated bronze.

McCollin Bryan designs and manufactures a distinctive portfolio of finely crafted collectible furniture and objects.
Their Aurora side table is a coloured resin oval set into a solid brass frame. This jewellery-inspired object resembles a giant accessory, as if a goldsmith had set a precious gemstone in its setting. Much like with the cocktail rings, which can be worn on both hands and on several fingers at once, you don’t have to restrict yourself to one cocktail table; they look great in a flamboyant group.
